According to the legend, the Magat River in the province of Isabela was once ruled by a powerful and feared giant named Magat. Magat was said to be a giant of enormous strength and size who demanded tribute from the nearby villages, including the town of Ramon. The villagers were required to offer him food, livestock, and even people to appease him. One day, a brave warrior named Baltog from the town of Bintawan decided to challenge the giant.
