"A Bagobo Story of The Sun And The Moon "

Certainly! The Bagobo people, an indigenous group from the southern Philippines, have many stories about the sun and the moon. Here's one version of a Bagobo story about the sun and the moon:

Long ago, the sun and the moon were good friends. They lived together in the sky and took turns shining their light on the world below. One day, the sun invited the moon to come down to the earth with him to see all the wonderful things that lived there.

The moon was excited to go, but the sun warned him not to look directly at the people and animals they would see, because it was said that anyone who looked directly at the moon would become blind. The moon agreed to be careful and the two friends descended to the earth.

As they traveled over the mountains and valleys, the sun pointed out all the different creatures that lived below. The moon was fascinated by everything he saw, but he was careful to keep his gaze lowered so as not to accidentally blind anyone.

Eventually, they came to a village where a group of people were gathered for a wedding. The sun and the moon watched from the sky as the wedding ceremony began. But as the bride and groom exchanged their vows, the moon could not resist looking directly at them.

Instantly, the people on the ground were blinded by the moon's bright light, and they cried out in pain and anger. The sun was furious with the moon for breaking his promise and causing harm to the people below. He scolded the moon and banished him from the sky, forcing him to wander the earth forever after.

And so, to this day, the sun continues to shine his light on the world during the day, while the moon wanders the night, forever regretting the mistake that caused his banishment.
