Sun and Moon's Argument

Story of sun and the moon long time ago

Long time ago, when the world was young, there were two celestial bodies that shone brightly in the sky - the Sun and the Moon. They were great friends and enjoyed spending time together, but there was one problem - they couldn't both be in the sky at the same time.

The Sun was a proud and fiery being who loved to bask in his own warmth and light. He believed that he was the most important celestial body in the sky and that everything revolved around him. The Moon, on the other hand, was a gentle and serene being who preferred the coolness of the night and the subtle light she provided.

One day, the Sun and the Moon had a great argument about who should be in the sky at which time. The Sun insisted that he should be in the sky during the day, as his warm and bright light was necessary for life to thrive on Earth. The Moon, however, argued that she should be in the sky at night, as her gentle light provided a calming and peaceful atmosphere for people to rest.

The argument went on for days, and neither the Sun nor the Moon would back down. Finally, the gods intervened and proposed a solution. They suggested that the Sun and the Moon take turns being in the sky, with the Sun shining during the day and the Moon shining at night.

The Sun was reluctant at first, but eventually agreed to the plan. So, from that day on, the Sun would rise in the east every morning, and set in the west every evening, making way for the Moon to take her place in the sky.

The Moon was overjoyed by the solution, and she thanked the gods for their wisdom. From that day on, she would rise in the east every night and shine her gentle light on the world below.

And so, the Sun and the Moon continued their friendship, taking turns lighting up the sky and bringing warmth and comfort to the Earth. They were both important in their own way, and the world was a better place because of their presence.

Story of bagobo sun and the moon long time ago

Long ago, in the land of the Bagobo people, there was a great legend about the Sun and the Moon.

According to the legend, the Sun and the Moon were once a married couple who lived together in the sky. They had a happy life together, but one day, the Moon became very ill. The Sun tried everything he could to cure her, but nothing seemed to work.

Desperate to help his beloved wife, the Sun decided to seek the advice of the Bagobo's most powerful shaman, who lived deep in the forest. He journeyed to the shaman's hut, and when he arrived, he begged the shaman to help him save his wife.

The shaman listened carefully to the Sun's story, and then he told him that the only way to cure the Moon's illness was to sacrifice his own life. The Sun was horrified at this suggestion, but he loved his wife so much that he was willing to do anything to save her.

So, the Sun allowed the shaman to take his life. The shaman then used the Sun's life force to heal the Moon, and she was restored to her former health and beauty.

When the Sun did not return to the sky, the Bagobo people were plunged into darkness. They were very sad and afraid, and they did not know what to do. So, they called upon the shaman to help them.

The shaman knew that the only way to bring back the Sun was to create a new Sun from the ashes of the old one. So, he gathered the ashes of the old Sun and fashioned them into a new one. He then placed the new Sun in the sky, and it shone as brightly as the old one.

And so, the Bagobo people had a new Sun and a new Moon, and they were happy once again. They knew that the Sun had sacrificed himself for the love of his wife, and they honored him and his wife by telling their story for generations to come.
